Trader Joe’s Haul!

Like most of my fitness/foodie comrades, I have a slight obsession with Trader Joe’s. I actually just discovered the store within the last couple years. There was never one close enough to me, but there was one near my grandma’s that my mom used to go to when she visited on the weekends, and she would occasionally bring home really interesting items, like chocolate-covered pomegranates or avocado ranch salad dressing. She would often tell me how much she thought I would like it, and when I finally got a chance to go, she was right!

While I think many of their items are pretty affordable, I don’t tend to do my regular shopping there because it’s hard to exercise self-control. Aldi is my go-to for fresh fruits, vegetables, and proteins, but I like to try and make a Trader Joe’s trip quarterly, or every couple months to get some of the things I can’t get elsewhere. I especially love their teas and fruit-flavored seltzer waters! Here’s my haul from today:

I got:

  • Baby kale (to be used in my smoothies)
  • Southwestern chopped salad (perfect, easy lunch)
  • Herbal detox tea & pomegranate white tea (I drink 2 cups of tea per day)
  • Blood orange seltzer water
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese and vine-ripened tomatoes (for Caprese)
  • Perfect Bars in Coconut Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Almond Butter
  • 3 Cheese Vegetable Ravioli (made with cremini mushrooms, Swiss chard, and kale)
  • Cauliflower gnocchi and mashed cauliflower
  • Eggs
  • Watermelon kombucha
  • Dark chocolate peanut butter and jelly bars (I’ve been seeing these all over Instagram and couldn’t resist)
  • Hydrating face mask & ultra-hydrating gel (for self-care nights!)

I love going to Trader Joe’s – there is something almost therapeutic about it (minus the crowds). They sell a lot of products you can feel good about using, and everything I purchased is pretty healthy and clean. What are some of your favorite Trader Joe’s items?
